That day was really tiring.. I arrived at The Podium around 11 in the morning, and found a very long line. I lined up, and eventually had my chance on the draw lots.

I was unlucky. I’ve picked “sorry” from the box.. But I believe that if you didn’t get it the first time, you should just try again.. so I did try again and finally got a printed “YES”!! :) My number though was a little letdown.. hahaha.

That shot was taken from the 3nd floor.. I stayed there while waiting for my turn. Gaaaad, I’m 904th! Sparks signed up 1000+ books and that is just awesome! :) Hahaha.

I sat on the 3rd floor, and stared at him for 4 hours! I’m shocked that I’m not inlove with him yet. hahahaha.

For those who do not know Nicholas Sparks, here is a brief background. He’s the author behind the bestselling novels, A Walk to Remember and The Notebook. These novels together with Nights in Rodanthe, Dear John and The Last Song, were made into films and naturally made Sparks more popular.

A lot of fans may have loved him for his A Walk to Remember and The Notebook, or his Message in a Bottle.. but The Wedding actually did it for me. I haven’t read The Lucky One yet, but I plan to read it before it shows on movie theaters this 2012.

National Bookstore Sale Until 08/21/11. ♥

Here’s my utang na post about my trip to the National Bookstore:

I really wanted to buy the HP bookset.. book 5 pa lang, gusto ko na bumili.. I told myself, pag kumpleto na.. Then nung nakumpleto naman, laging gumagana ang pagka kuripot ko neng.. hahaha. Until yesterday came.. Ako kasi pag merong gustong bilhin on impulse, dapat buy agad.. kasi pag napagisip-isip ko yung price.. nagba-back out ako.. timing pa, wala akong pera ngayon.. meron naman, but I have to make ends meet.. kasi next payday, di ako su-sweldo.. ang tanga kasi, I wasn’t able to submit my DTR on time.. pag ganun kasi sa SMART, delayed yung sweldo until the next pay day na ulit.

So back to my story…. I was able to charm my mom into paying. I promised naman to pay her once I get my money on the 25th.

National Bookstore sale up to 75%!! Bongga nya lang

I’m really lucky to get hold of the last set of HP books at National Robinson’s Fairview..

This book got me interested: My Name is Memory

So I bought the hardbound copy.. almost same price na kasi sila ng paperback.. parang 50Php lang ang difference :)

I bought Pants on Fire by Meg Cabot.. matagal ko na itong binabalik-balikan sa Powerbooks.. hahaha

And of course.. The Tales of Beedle the Bard to complete my HP set :)
