#OneStageOneNight featuring @keancipriano

All along, I really thought it was a concert of different band members (Jay Durias and Raimund Marasigan among others).

I may not be a die hard fan but I can still say that Kean Cipriano has an amazing voice. For me, it’s impossible not to like a song pag sya ang kumanta. Ang ganda ng version nya ng “Let me be the one” at “Kailan”..

I might have enjoyed the show more if his audience knew the songs lined up that night. But obviously, most of the crowd went there to see Kean and not to know the best of OPM.

The best part of that concert for me, was when he sang “Stars”.

sugarfree.. after a decade and one.

I’ve been meaning to write about Sugarfree last week, but can’t seem to bring myself into it.  Until now, I’m still in denial. Ebe will not be leaving the band, he just can’t. But truth hurts sometimes, he is leaving. Sugarfree has been a part of my every get-away trips, from their first album up to their last. they say, Ebe is Sugarfree. I’m not sure about that though. I believe that Sugarfree will still live even after Ebe left.. but it will never be the same.. man, it will never be.

is it just me?

The other night, I turned on the radio.. and instantly, the distinct sound of Siakol filled the car. Sabi ko, “ayos! Namiss ko ‘to.”

Then Siakol’s Lakas Tama was followed by Eraserheads’ Ligaya. Solb na solb ang Huwebes ko! I even came to a point where I reminisced Eheads’ disbandment and how sad the song ‘Para sa Masa’ made me that day.

Kasama ko sila while growing up.

Then I thought, is it just me? or talagang bibihira na ang mga magagandang kanta ngayon? Where have they gone? Why do songs always have to be about partying and sissies and shallow random things?
